In a warm and compassionate manner, Ms. Riojas-Foyt utilizes a variety of proven psychological techniques to address the often hidden and underlying struggles faced by many individuals and families. Ms. Riojas-Foyt offers over 12 years of training and experience working with couples, families, adolescents, individuals and groups. She has also worked extensively within the public school system to assist children and their families.
Ms. Riojas-Foyt has worked with many individuals, families and couples struggling with depression, relationship conflicts, anger management, family conflicts, marital challenges, parent/adolescent life cycle struggles, and process groups, including work within the school system. Ms. Riojas-Foyt has also utilized her own diverse cultural background to work with a variety of cultural challenges.
Ms. Riojas-Foyt has received comprehensive training in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and collaborative therapy. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the idea that your own thoughts and beliefs lead to your negative moods and unhealthy behavior. 
Collaborative therapy is utilized to help individuals to explore their dilemmas and challenges and to feel empowered to resolve them.
Ms. Riojas-Foyt received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and completed her internship through the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston, where she was able to utilize a collaborative approach while she trained within the Family Medicine department.
